#Assistance Was created on Undernet IRC network, by Outward, Overdeath and Zee, witch are members of the -Founders Committee-.
They`ve started the good job on October 2004 and soon many experienced helpers joined the team.
The founders, started this channel, because they wanted to make live easyer for computer users. Looks like they`ve succeded to make a channel where users are the most important thing and where users are being assisted by carefully trained volunteers in IRC|Undernet|Computer problems.
During time the founders committee have been in #Assistance with many helpers and channel ops witch have provided help for newbies 24/7 in many languages. The relations between founders and the other channel members were/are based on trust and respect, that makes our channel to be one of the most established general help channels from Undernet IRC network.
Since 30 March 2005 #Assistance has 1 more committee : The Administrators Committee (490+).
On 22 April our website already had a .org domain ( http://www.GetAssistance.Org ) and it was submited in all important search engines.
On 2 May, our MYSQL database`s data was lost, because of a silly new website feature. - The search engine`s data and helpers applications data was not recovered, we just started them from 0.
On 14 May 2005, our webmasters decided to let users know that we don`t use and we don`t want to use in the future flash or java applets in the website, because not all newbies have flash or java plugins installed in their browsers.
On 14 May 2005 IceKid and WhitePearl left the Administrators Committee, but Qazz joined it.
In the same day on 14 May Zee decided to leave the channel for some weeks, because he had some training lessons to attend to @ another channel. Anyway he will watch the website and the channel from the outside.
That means that on 14 May we have 2 Administrators less, Outward (Studying) and Zee(taking lessons @ some other IRC channel).
On 23 May we added some text banner to the website, it`s banner exchange and we hope it will get us more guests to both the website and channel.
On 6 June we are updating the website everyday, now we have a new News Section, we added real time updated latest news by RSS. Enjoy!
On 8 June we recived an email from Support.at.Kilent.com , we are noticed that #Assistance has been added to the default channel favorites in Klient for the next release (2.1). (Zee is happy!)
On 20 July Zee sais he's back and ready to rebuild the channel, he deleted the accesses to the unactive members and deleted some of the database's information
